WALT GONSKE:
THE CHURCH SERIES
September 6, 2025 - November 8, 2025

Churches and cemeteries hold a special fascination for Walt Gonske, so much so that he has traveled to several states and foreign countries to capture their beauty and, in essence, to tell their stories. Walt Gonske's "The Church Series" will feature 69 of Gonske's Masterworks. Featured in the exhibition are Church Facades, Campo Santos, Church Interiors, and the Churches set in landscapes.

The New American West
by Brush and by Bronze
November 15, 2025 - January 10, 2026

A dual exhibition featuring acclaimed sculptor Mark Yale Harris and celebrated painter Kathleen Frank. Together, their works create a compelling dialogue between natural and abstract beauty, offering a fresh vision of the contemporary American West.

The exhibition brings together Harris’s stylized figurative and wildlife bronze sculptures with Frank’s vibrant, pattern-rich oil paintings—each artist contributing a distinctive interpretation of the region’s landscape, culture, and spirit.

This exhibition, from January 16 to April 17, 2027 in the Main Gallery, takes the American Women Artists back to its roots, celebrating the heritage of the American West. American Women Artists was founded in Tucson, AZ, by a group of women artists working in the Western genre. AWA has grown over the last thirty-four years to serve over 1000 artists annually in the U.S. and Canada, including exhibitions around the country, welcoming a wide range of artistic styles. The Museum of Western Art exhibition and its surrounding events will honor AWA’s roots and the AWA masters of the Western genre while giving its Associate and Associate with Distinction Members an opportunity to shine.
